Celebrating the Month of Cheshvan

Exploring the Duality of Abundance

As we enter the Hebrew month of Cheshvan, join Jewish Vegan Life and Veg Society of DC for an evening of Jewish learning, meaningful conversation, community, and delicious food.

Together, we’ll celebrate and explore the deeper meaning of the Hebrew Cheshvan and what Jewish tradition can teach us about the power we have to increase either suffering or flourishing in the world.

At the heart of our conversation will be a question: What are we increasing?

Our choices can increase compassion, health, abundance, and life. They can also increase suffering and destruction.

This Tikkun Circle is an opportunity to explore what it means to bring Jewish values into our everyday choices and to consider veganism as a powerful expression of our responsibility toward animals and the world we share.

What to Expect

  • A warm and welcoming Jewish community
  • Delicious plant based food available for everyone to order individually
  • Jewish learning and discussion about Cheshvan and the values we embody

Registration is free. Everyone is welcome, whether you are vegan, vegetarian, veg friendly, or simply curious about the connection between Judaism, veganism, and compassion.

You’ll be able to purchase food and drink at the restaurant.
