6:30 PM
Join the South Bay Tikkun Circle for a special Shavuot gathering celebrating community, compassion, harvest, and renewal through a shared vegan potluck dinner.
Shavuot is known as the Festival of First Fruits, marking the ancient harvest season when people brought offerings from the earth in gratitude and joy. It is also the holiday of receiving Torah, inviting us to reflect on the values we want to bring into the world and how we live them in our daily lives.
At a time when so many people are searching for deeper connection, this evening offers a chance to slow down, gather in community, and explore how our food choices, spiritual traditions, and care for the earth can come together in meaningful and life giving ways.
Together, we’ll share delicious plant based food, thoughtful conversation, Jewish learning, and community rooted in compassion and belonging.

About Shavuot and First Fruits
In ancient Israel, Shavuot was celebrated by bringing the first fruits of the harvest to Jerusalem in gratitude and celebration. It was a reminder that the earth’s abundance is a gift and that what we cultivate physically and spiritually matters deeply.
Today, Shavuot invites us to ask:
- What kind of world are we helping create through the choices we make every day?
- How can our food reflect our values?
- How can we live in greater alignment with compassion, justice, and care for the earth?
This gathering is an opportunity to explore those questions together around a shared table.
