Montreal Tikkun Circle Potluck: Entering the Month of Av
Montreal Tikkun Circle Potluck: Entering the Month of Av
Monday, July 13, 2026
6:30 PM

Join the JVL Montreal Tikkun Circle to mark the entrance into the Hebrew month of Av, centered on memory, mourning, and the turn toward comfort and renewal, through a shared plant based potluck dinner.

The month of Av marks major historic events in the Jewish calendar, and it teaches us how brokenness can become the beginning of repair. It invites us to begin turning it toward compassion, healing, and hope, through food, conversation, Jewish wisdom, and community.

Featuring Rabbi Boris Dolin

We are honored to welcome Rabbi Boris Dolin, Rabbi of Congregation Dorshei Emet and spiritual leader of JVL Montreal, who will offer reflections for the evening. Rabbi Boris has served as Rabbi of Congregation Dorshei Emet since 2016. He holds an M.A. in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary, where he focused on informal and community education. He previously helped rebuild Jewish life in Poland as Rabbi of Beit Polska in Warsaw and has served communities in the United States and Europe.

About the Montreal Tikkun Circle

The JVL Montreal Tikkun Circle brings people together to explore Jewish wisdom, compassionate living, and our relationship with the earth through shared meals and meaningful gatherings. We create spaces for reflection, connection, and collective renewal.

A Free Community Gathering

This event is offered free of charge because we believe everyone should have access to meaningful community, Jewish learning, and spaces rooted in compassion and connection.

Creating and growing the Montreal Tikkun Circle takes ongoing coordination, outreach, and care. If this community resonates with you, we invite you to support this work by making a donation or becoming a member of Jewish Vegan Life.

Your support helps us continue creating gatherings like this, grow our community, and build a movement connecting Jewish values, compassionate living, and care for the earth.
