Community Sukkot Celebration

We held a beautiful Sukkot celebration that brought together the Cleveland Jewish community. Young professionals, families, and friends, came out for an inspiring atmosphere to celebrate, share a delicious plant-based meal, and explore the deeper meaning of the food we choose.

What We Did

Learn: Discovered Jewish perspectives on plant-based eating and how the choices we make at the table connect to our health, our planet, and our tradition’s timeless wisdom.
Celebrate: Enjoyed the mitzvah of Sukkot, sharing and celebrating together under the sukkah.
Taste: Savored a delicious, creative plant-based holiday meal that highlights this harvest season.
Connect: Met new friends and strengthened community ties across Cleveland’s Jewish landscape.

Why a Plant-Based Sukkot?

Sukkot is a holiday of abundance, gratitude, and connection to the earth. It invites us to think about our relationship with creation — how we harvest, how we eat, and how we share. By choosing a plant-based celebration, we honor Jewish values and model a path of compassion and sustainability.

Partners in Celebration

This event was made possible through partnership with Mandel JCC of Cleveland, Moishe Pod Cleveland – West Side, and B’nai Jeshurun Congregation. Together, we are creating a Sukkot experience that is joyful, meaningful, and inclusive. We welcome community institutions to join as partners in this celebration of Jewish life, values, and togetherness.
