Melissa Breslow is the Los Angeles Lead for Jewish Vegan Life, where she helps build compassionate community. A dedicated vegan for over 15 years, Melissa is passionate about supporting others on their journey toward more conscious, values-aligned living.
Melissa is the former Vice President of VegFest LA and the founder of Mind-Body-Space and the Open Eyes Foundation. Her work sits at the intersection of mindfulness, healing, and creative expression. As a yoga teacher, sound bath facilitator, vocalist, aromatherapist, and herbalist, she brings music, presence, and holistic practice into the spaces she creates.
A devoted mother, animal lover, and lifelong music enthusiast, Melissa is committed to fostering joy, connection, and a sense of shared responsibility for all living beings.
Her journey into veganism deepened over time, shaped by lived experience and reflection on global interconnectedness. A formative moment during her travels in China led her to a powerful realization about the shared impact of human choices on the environment and all life on Earth. This awareness ultimately brought her into full alignment with her values and a commitment to compassionate, plant-based living.
Today, Melissa brings that perspective into her leadership, helping others explore how personal choices can reflect care for animals, people, and the planet, and how community can support meaningful change.
